Abstract:
Digital and intelligent optical field manipulation is a new paradigm that integrates artificial intelligence algorithms and digital modeling into traditional optical field control systems. With its advantages in high-dimensional parameter search, complex field reconstruction, intelligent inverse design, and adaptive optimization, it is becoming an important driving force in micro- and nano-photonics. With the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, this technology shows great potential for achieving higher efficiency, multifunctional operation, and intelligent control. The special issue on digital and intelligent optical field manipulation has received 12 manuscripts, including 9 review articles and 4 original articles. It aims to present the significant research advances and achievements in this field in recent years, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current status, developmental trends, and application prospects of digital and intelligent optical field manipulation, and to offer valuable reference and insight for researchers engaged in related disciplines.
