Exploring the Essence of Opto-Electronics, Pursuing the Pinnacle of Engineering — Preface to the Relaunch of Opto-Electronic Engineering

Throughout history, in the present era, and into the foreseeable future, opto-electronic engineering has played a pivotal role in advancing human civilization across critical domains including healthcare, energy, information, telecommunications, astronomy, arts, culture, etc. Opto-Electronic Engineering, an international academic journal cosponsored by the Institute of Optics and Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOE, CAS), and the Chinese Optical Society (COS), will undergo comprehensive relaunch starting in 2017. This transformation aims to enhance theoretical and technological advancements in opto-electronic engineering, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and catalyze the emergence of revolutionary technologies. After it relaunch, the journal will continue to serve as a Chinese Core Journal while placing greater emphasis on groundbreaking theories and technologies in opto-electronics, as well as facilitating global scholarly exchanges.
